I’m about to do a little spam on an Australian TV series called “Puberty Blues”

Based on the classic Australian novel by Kathy Lette and Gabrielle Carey, and loosely on the iconic film of the same name, this series hit Australian screens in August of this year.

It’s all about growing up in Australia in the 1970’s, the rites of passage, the role of women in society, and the social changes of the country itself.

The entire cast are honestly, one of the finest the country has assembled, alongside the brilliants casts of other Australian series such as Offspring, The Secret Life of Us, and Love My Way.  The direction, the sets and the atmosphere are dead on target.

Some of it is available in parts on YouTube so for any international followers interested in taking a glimpse at Australia in times gone by, I’d highly recommend it.

I love this show so much. Only two episodes left.
